The let's talk project

"We decided we wanted to be part of the Spectrum Inclusion  Campaign, because the nature of our service, is that we are available and accessible to anyone within the community of Rossendale. Being able to evidence this to the community was important to us. Jack's training, was relaxed and informal which suited our volunteers, who were giving up their own time to attend. The training was informative, and we were able to ask questions, and felt safe to do so knowing that we were not going to be judged or offend anyone. Our volunteers enjoyed the session one comment was 'Thank you Jack. You were fantastic. Thank you for taking the time to answer all or our questions, I think we had some great dialogue, exchange of ideas and growth as a team.'

We are now more confident in our ability to deliver the Listening service to the LGBTQIA community in Rossendale."

The whitaker art gallery & museum

"We are proud at The Whitaker to be a welcoming and inclusive space, and we strive to ensure all of our visitors feel that this is a place for them.  We have worked extremely hard to ensure our volunteer team is diverse and that all of our community is included.  We have higher than average representation of LGBTQIA+ people in our volunteer cohort, in no small way down to the forward thinking and broad programme and welcome that we offer.”

Horse + Bamboo

"It was an important session and one member of staff shared thanks with me afterwards for it making them feel more at home in the workplace.

We wanted to join as it felt right that our community arts venue was welcoming to all and felt safe for the LGBTQI+ community."

greater good project

“I found the training and conversation with Jack from Spectrum Inclusion very informative. We already thought of The Greater Good Project as an inclusive organisation however we realise there is always more we can do to improve as a CIC and the lantern campaign training definitely helped with our growth and development.

The info pack was easy to read, informative and struck up open conversation and questions that were answered without any judgement.

Thank you for taking the time to offer this training. The work you are doing as an organisation is much needed and will be beneficial to so many people, community groups and organisations.”
